Computer training and Internet training is a service Clear Blue Media have been running for the last 6 years. If you're located in Torquay, Paignton, Brixham or live close to Torbay and you wish to improve your internet and computer knowledge then this training could be useful to you.

Computers and the Internet can be confusing which is why we run training sessions. Maybe you'd like a web site but need to know how it works. Or maybe you would like a computer at your home or office but are worried about being able to understand how to use one.

We have been training people on the Internet and Computers for the last 6 years and we've never had one compliant. We explain everything in standard English and not geek English.

Our Training is broken up into 2 parts:

Internet Training

We run a 2 hour session which includes the following:

• Setting you up your own Email account
• Show you how to Send and Receive Email
• How to find sites you're interested in using search engines
• Explaining what all the buttons on a browser do.
• How to download files from the Internet

Computer Training

We run a 2 hour session which includes the following:

• How to use a mouse
• How to navigate windows
• How to keep your Operating System healthy
• How to transfer files around your PC
• Advise on virus protection and computer protection against intruders.

We do offer more advanced training. Please use the form below to request details of the advanced training and what areas you wish to learn.

The costs & locations

We can either visit you at home with the computer you're familiar with or you can visit us.

We are running a special offer at the moment:

Training at your home (Within Torbay) £30 per person for the 2 hours

Training at our shop £25 per person for the 2 hours

Group bookings (4 or more) £15 per person

We can currently cater for up to 7 people at our location.

The time

We do not do any training during the day while the shop is open. We have a training sessions after 6pm so you feel more relaxed and not surrounded by expert users.

If you visit my home what do you require us to have?

We require a working Operating System and a working dial up account for the Internet if you wish the Internet training. If your machine is not working when we get there we cannot offer any advice and will request full payment due to already committing the time.

We can work with the following Operating Systems:

• Windows 95
• Windows 98
• Windows Millennium
• Windows XP

We regret though that if you use AOL as your dial up provider we can only offer limited Internet Training. Please make sure you advise us beforehand that you use AOL.
