All of our new sites comply with the legal UK requirements for disabled access and we are already starting to push ourselves beyond the highest recommendations by creating hidden navigation systems for text only and text-to-speech readers as just one example.

The Law
The laws changed five years ago (but came into force in October 2004) regarding disability access. Your site can now be considered illegal if you are not compliant with the revised disability laws. We were aware five years ago that this was going to happen and we have strived towards 100% accessible web sites since way back then.

- Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001 (UK)

In the most recent sample of 100 web sites in Devon we found that only two were complaint to the very minimum standard. The web design companies who designed these sites are still producing non-compliant and illegal web sites. Only one so far has followed our lead! You designed your own web site
After we email you the results you may want to fix the errors yourself. In this case we will run the check again free of charge after you have fixed the errors.
A web designer created the site for you
Simply contact your web designer and ask him/her to make the changes to bring you in line with the laws coming into force this October.
You require us to make the changes
This is not a good option because having to re-do someone else's work is often more time consuming that starting from scratch. Unless your site is very basic this could be quite costly.
We do a complete redesign your web site
This will almost certainly be a cheaper and quicker way of bringing your web site into line with the UK laws than the option above. We have a number of templates you can choose from or we can discuss a design to very closely match your cooperate image. This won't cost as much as you think!
