It is very simple.
- We don't use tables or spacer images because they create way too much coding
- We don't use html tags like <font>, <color> etc because they greatly increase the lines of code per page
- Our sites all pass W3C strict which means we have very little code per page.
- We don't slice up a large image into dozens of tiny bits because it bloats the code
- We don't use JavaScript or Flash because it slows the load time and restricts visitors
We design the pages so the text loads before anything else. On a lot of sites you have visited you will probably have noticed you were staring at a blank screen and suddenly everything appeared. We say "Why wait for everything to load? Let's get the text on there straight away and then let everything else load".
On sites which require lots of graphics (This web site for example) we have the skill to design with the user in mind. With the ever increasing takeup of Broadband the time people will wait for something to load is dropping rapidily. We know this and it's just one example of just how much knowledge we have in building a web site.
